Dawn is a Swedish black metal band known for their melodic approach to the genre. Their third studio album, "Slaughtersun (Crown of the Triarchy)", was released in August 1998 under Necropolis Records. The album was remastered and reissued in 2014 through Century Media Records. Musically, the album is characterized as "black metal in the ultra-melodic vein," with all music composed by guitarist Fredrik Söderberg. The album was recorded at Abyss Studios in April 1997 and produced by Paul Thind. Vocals on the album were provided by Henke Forss, with the lineup completed by Andreas Fullmestad on rhythm guitar, Lars Tängmark on bass guitar, and Jocke Petterson on drums.
