Dawn of Solace is a Finnish metal project founded in 2005 by Tuomas Saukkonen. While writing the third album for his band Before the Dawn, 'The Ghost', Saukkonen had over 30 songs, some of which were slower and darker, leading to the creation of Dawn of Solace. The debut album, 'The Darkness', was released in 2006, combining elements of gothic metal and doom metal. After a lengthy hiatus, the project returned in 2020 with 'Waves', followed by 'Flames of Perdition' in 2022. Dawn of Solace's music is known for its melancholy and rich melodies.
