Dean Wareham is an American musician and actor, born in 1963 in Wellington, New Zealand. In 1987, he co-founded the band Galaxie 500, which released three albums: "Today" (1988), "On Fire" (1989), and "This Is Our Music" (1990). After leaving Galaxie 500 in 1991, he formed the band Luna, which released seven albums, including "Penthouse" (1995). Following Luna's dissolution in 2005, he collaborated with Britta Phillips as the duo Dean & Britta. In 2014, he released his first solo album "Dean Wareham," followed by "I Have Nothing to Say to the Mayor of L.A." in 2021.
