Death Cult was a British post-punk band formed in 1983 by Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy following the dissolution of Southern Death Cult. The band released two 12-inch records that same year, including the "Death Cult" EP and the single "God's Zoo". In 2024, they released the compilation "Paradise Now", featuring reworked tracks from their earlier recordings. In 1984, they renamed themselves The Cult and continued a successful music career.
