Demis Roussos (1946–2015) was a Greek singer and musician, known for his work with the band Aphrodite's Child and a successful solo career. Born in Alexandria, Egypt, he later moved to Greece. In 1967, he co-founded Aphrodite's Child with Vangelis Papathanassiou, achieving international success. After the band's dissolution, he embarked on a solo career, releasing hits like "Forever and Ever" and "Goodbye, My Love, Goodbye". Throughout his career, he sold over 60 million albums worldwide. His musical style encompassed folk-pop, world music, and progressive rock. He collaborated with Vangelis on several projects, including a vocal adaptation of the theme from "Chariots of Fire".
