Désiré-Émile Inghelbrecht was a French conductor and composer, born in Paris in 1880. He studied at the Paris Conservatoire and began his career as a violinist in orchestras. In 1913, he became the first music director of the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées. In 1934, he founded the Orchestre National de la Radiodiffusion Française. A close friend of Claude Debussy, he significantly contributed to the interpretation of Debussy's works. His discography includes recordings of works by Debussy, Ravel, and other French composers. He passed away in Paris in 1965.
