Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft (DAF) was a German electropunk band formed in Düsseldorf in 1978. The original lineup included Gabi Delgado-López (vocals), Robert Görl (drums), Kurt "Pyrolator" Dahlke (electronic instruments), Michael Kemner (bass guitar), and Wolfgang Spelmans (guitar). In 1980, they released the album "Die Kleinen und die Bösen," which was the first album ever released on Mute Records. Their music combined electronic sounds with punk elements and influenced the development of genres such as EBM and Neue Deutsche Welle. The band remained active until 2021.
