Di-rect is a Dutch rock band from The Hague, formed in 1999. The original lineup included Jamie Westland (drums), Frans "Spike" van Zoest (guitar), Bas van Wageningen (bass guitar), and Tim Akkerman (vocals). In 2009, Akkerman was replaced by Marcel Veenendaal as the lead vocalist. The band achieved success with albums such as "Discover" (2001), "Over the Moon" (2003), and "All Systems Go!" (2005). In 2020, they released the single "Soldier On," which became an anthem of hope during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Netherlands. In June 2025, they celebrated their 25th anniversary with three sold-out concerts at De Kuip in Rotterdam, recorded on the album "Live in De Kuip."
