Die Regierung is a German alternative rock band formed in 1982 in Essen by Tilman Rossmy. Their debut album, "Supermüll," was released in 1984, financed and distributed independently by Rossmy. After a period of inactivity, the band reunited in 1990, releasing albums "So allein" (1990), "So drauf" (1992), and "Unten" (1994). Following a breakup in 1995, they reformed in 2006 and continued producing music, with their latest album, "Nur," released in 2023. The band is known for its contribution to the German alternative music scene and is associated with the Hamburger Schule movement.
