Dina Ugorskaja was a Soviet-born German pianist, born in 1973 in Leningrad. She came from a musical family; her father was pianist Anatol Ugorski, and her mother, Maja Elik, was a musicologist. She gave her first public performance at the age of seven at the Leningrad Philharmonic. In 1990, she emigrated with her family to Germany, where she continued her studies at the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin and later at the Detmold University of Music. Throughout her career, she performed at prestigious venues such as the Gewandhaus in Leipzig and the Cologne Philharmonic. She recorded works by composers like Bach, Beethoven, and Schumann. In 2016, she began teaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She passed away in 2019 in Munich.
