Disharmonic Orchestra is an Austrian death metal and grindcore band formed in 1987 in Klagenfurt. After releasing two demo tapes, they secured a contract with Nuclear Blast in 1989 following a concert with Pungent Stench. Their debut album, "Expositionsprophylaxe," was released in 1990, followed by "Not to Be Undimensional Conscious" in 1992 and "Pleasuredome" in 1994. After a hiatus, they returned in 2002 with the album "Ahead." In 2016, they released "Fear of Angst," and in 2023, a compilation titled "Repulsive Overtones? 1988-1989." Their music is characterized by a blend of death metal, grindcore, and avant-garde elements.
