Divide and Dissolve is an instrumental doom metal band from Melbourne, Australia, formed in 2015. Originally comprising saxophonist and guitarist Takiaya Reed, of African-American and Cherokee heritage, and drummer Sylvie Nehill, of Māori and White-Australian descent, the band has released albums including "BASIC" (2017), "Abomination" (2018), "Gas Lit" (2021), and "Systemic" (2023). Their music focuses on themes such as Indigenous sovereignty and the fight against white supremacy. Following Nehill's departure in 2023, Reed continues with a rotating lineup of drummers. In 2025, they released the album "Insatiable".
