Dom Um Romão was a Brazilian jazz drummer and percussionist, known for his work with the fusion band Weather Report and collaborations with artists such as Cannonball Adderley, Paul Simon, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Jorge Ben, Sérgio Mendes, and Tony Bennett. He was born on August 3, 1925, in Rio de Janeiro and passed away on July 27, 2005, in the same city.
