Dominique Vellard is a French tenor and specialist in medieval music. In 1979, he founded the Ensemble Gilles Binchois, focusing on the performance of Ars Nova music. Vellard is also a composer and has been a professor at the Schola Cantorum in Basel since 1982. He has over 50 recordings to his credit, approximately 40 of which are with the Ensemble Gilles Binchois. In 2017, he was awarded the Legion of Honour.
