Donald Berman is an American pianist and expert on the music of Charles Ives. He studied under John Kirkpatrick, who gave the New York premiere of Ives's "Concord Sonata" in 1939. Berman's discography includes albums such as "The Unknown Ives" (1999), "The Uncovered Ruggles" (2005), and "The Light That is Felt: Songs of Charles Ives" (2008). In 2024, he released a recording of Ives's "Piano Sonata No. 2 'Concord, Mass., 1840–1860'" and "The St. Gaudens ('Black March')".
