Downchild Blues Band is a Canadian blues group formed in Toronto in 1969 by brothers Donnie "Mr. Downchild" Walsh and Richard "Hock" Walsh. They are recognized as pioneers of the Canadian blues scene. Their 1973 album "Straight Up" features tracks like "I've Got Everything I Need (Almost)" and "Shot Gun Blues," later popularized by The Blues Brothers. The band won the Juno Award for "Blues Album of the Year" in 2014 for "Can You Hear The Music." Throughout their career, they collaborated with artists such as Spencer Davis and Gene Taylor.
