Duo YUMENO is a New York-based duo consisting of koto and shamisen player Yoko Reikano Kimura and cellist Hikaru Tamaki. Formed in 2009, the ensemble focuses on original compositions that explore the relationship between classical Japanese and Western music. In 2014, they received the Baroque Saal Award, and in 2015, a grant from the Chamber Music America Classical Commissioning Program. Their album 'Daron Aric Hagen: Heike Quinto' was released in 2024. Duo YUMENO regularly performs in the United States and Japan, including concerts at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center.
