Dušan Grúň (May 26, 1942, Žilina – April 22, 2024, Bratislava) was a Slovak pop singer. After graduating in 1959 in Košice, he studied at the University of Mining in Ostrava, where he began his musical career. In 1963, he joined the professional orchestra of Ivo Pavlík, with whom he recorded his first radio and gramophone recordings. From May 1965, he was a member of Juraj Velčovský's orchestra. His most well-known hits include "Butterfly," "Plavovláska," "Kde si bola, keď tu hrmelo," "Malvína," and "Synček neplač." In 1973, he released his first LP album "Dušan Grúň." Throughout his career, he collaborated with artists such as Karel Gott, Waldemar Matuška, and Helena Vondráčková. In 2012, he released the album "Lebo ťa mám rád" with the subtitle "A Tribute to Frank Sinatra." He passed away on April 22, 2024, at the age of 81.
