Earl Peterson, known as the "singing cowboy from Michigan," was an American country singer and songwriter. In 1952, he founded Nugget Records with his mother to release his own music. In 1954, he signed with Sun Records, releasing the single "Boogie Blues." He later recorded for Columbia Records and, in the 1960s, operated radio station WPLB in Michigan.
