Eddie "Guitar" Burns was an American blues guitarist, harmonica player, and singer, born in Belzoni, Mississippi, who later moved to Detroit. He began his musical career in 1948, collaborating with John Lee Hooker. Notable albums include "Bottle Up & Go" (1972) and "Detroit Blackbottom" (1975). In 1961, he recorded "Orange Driver" with Marvin Gaye on drums. Burns was known for his contributions to Detroit blues and received awards such as the Michigan Heritage Award in 1994 and the Detroit Blues Society's Lifetime Achievement Award in 1998.
