Electric Squeezebox Orchestra is a 17-member big band led by trumpeter Erik Jekabson. The group debuted in 2015 with the album "Cheap Rent" and released "The Falling Dream" in 2018. Their music blends elements of jazz, Latin American music, and post-bop. "The Falling Dream" features nine original compositions and an arrangement of McCoy Tyner's "Señor Carlos." The recording was made at the legendary Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, California. The band regularly performs in San Francisco and is known for its energetic and innovative interpretations of jazz music.
