Electro Hippies were an English thrashcore band formed in St Helens/Wigan in 1985. Their music combined elements of crust punk and grindcore, characterized by low production quality and strong political lyrics, often focusing on animal rights and vegetarianism. Their 1988 debut album, "The Only Good Punk... Is a Dead One," featured 20 tracks, most under two minutes long. The band disbanded in 1989, with some members continuing in other projects, such as Jeff Walker joining Carcass.
