Elephant9 is a Norwegian progressive/neo-psychedelic/jazz-rock trio formed in 2006 in Oslo. The band consists of keyboardist Ståle Storløkken, bassist Nikolai Hængsle, and drummer Torstein Lofthus. Their debut album, "Dodovoodoo," was released in 2008, followed by "Walk the Nile" in 2010, which won the Spellemannprisen award in the Jazz category. In 2012, they released "Atlantis," featuring guest guitarist Reine Fiske. Their music blends elements of rock, jazz, psychedelia, and progressive rock. In 2024, they released the album "Mythical River."
