Elisabeth Leonskaja, born on November 23, 1945, in Tbilisi, is an Austrian pianist of Georgian origin. She studied at the Moscow Conservatory, winning awards at international competitions such as the Enescu, Marguerite Long, and Queen Elisabeth. In 1978, she emigrated to Vienna, continuing her successful career. She has collaborated with prominent conductors and orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic under Kurt Masur. Notable recordings include "Paris" featuring works by Ravel, Enescu, and Debussy, and "Saudade" with pieces by Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and Rachmaninoff.
