Elisapie is an Inuk singer-songwriter from Salluit, Quebec. She began her musical career with the duo Taima, whose sole album won the Juno Award for Aboriginal Recording of the Year in 2005. In 2009, she released her first solo album, "There Will Be Stars," followed by "Travelling Love" (2012), "The Ballad of the Runaway Girl" (2018), and "Inuktitut" (2023). Her music blends elements of folk, pop, and Inuit traditions. In 2024, she won the Juno Award for Contemporary Indigenous Artist of the Year, and in 2025, she received the award for Best Adult Alternative Album.
