Emmanuelle Bertrand is a French cellist who studied at the Conservatoires Nationaux Supérieurs de Musique et de Danse in Lyon and Paris under Jean Deplace and Philippe Muller. In 2002, she received the Victoires de la Musique award as "Discovery of the Year," and in 2022, she was named "Instrumental Soloist of the Year." She has collaborated with notable composers such as Henri Dutilleux and Nicolas Bacri, who dedicated his Fourth Suite for solo cello, Op. 50, to her. Among her significant recordings are "Johann Sebastian Bach: Complete Cello Suites BWV 1007-12" and "Henri Dutilleux: Tout un monde lointain."
