Enigma is a German musical project founded in 1990 by Romanian-German musician and producer Michael Cretu. The project is known for blending new-age, worldbeat, and electronic genres. The debut album, "MCMXC a.D." (1990), features the hit "Sadeness (Part I)", which achieved international success. Subsequent albums, such as "The Cross of Changes" (1993) and "The Fall of a Rebel Angel" (2016), continued to experiment with various musical styles. Enigma has sold approximately 70 million albums worldwide and has received over 100 gold and platinum certifications. The project has been nominated for a Grammy Award three times.
