Eric Scott Reed is an American jazz pianist and composer. Born in Philadelphia, he began playing piano at the age of two. Raised in a church environment, he played piano in his father's church. He studied at the Settlement Music School and later at the R. D. Colburn School of Arts in Los Angeles. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with notable musicians such as Wynton Marsalis and Freddie Hubbard. Reed has released over 30 albums as a leader, including "Out Late" (2025), "Groovewise" (2015), and "Everybody Gets the Blues" (2019). He is known for his innovative approach to jazz standards and original compositions.
