Ernestine Anderson was an American jazz and blues singer whose career spanned more than six decades. She recorded over 30 albums and was nominated for a Grammy Award four times. Anderson performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center, as well as at jazz festivals worldwide, including the Monterey Jazz Festival, where she appeared six times over a 33-year span.
