Esben and the Witch is a British rock band formed in Brighton in 2008. The trio consists of Rachel Davies (vocals, bass), Thomas Fisher (guitar), and Daniel Copeman (drums, electronics). Their debut album, "Violet Cries," was released in 2011 and reached number 13 on the UK Indie Chart. The band is known for their atmospheric sound, blending elements of post-rock, alternative rock, and gothic rock. In 2014, they released "A New Nature" under their own label, Nostromo Records. In 2016, they signed with the French independent metal label Season of Mist. Their music has been featured in various television shows, including "Beavis and Butt-head" and "Skins."
