Espen Eriksen Trio is a Norwegian jazz piano trio formed in 2007, consisting of Espen Eriksen (piano), Lars Tormod Jenset (double bass), and Andreas Bye (drums). Their music is characterized by melodic and lyrical instrumentals with a minimalist approach. They have released seven albums, including "You Had Me At Goodbye" (2010), "What Took You So Long" (2012), and "Never Ending January" (2015). In 2016, they began collaborating with British saxophonist Andy Sheppard, resulting in albums like "Perfectly Unhappy" (2018) and "As Good As It Gets" (2023). The trio has performed at festivals such as Molde Jazz and Oslo Jazzfestival and has toured across four continents.
