The Estonian Festival Orchestra was founded in 2011 by conductor Paavo Järvi as the resident orchestra of the Pärnu Music Festival. The ensemble brings together top Estonian musicians with international players and has gained international acclaim for its performances. In 2018, it embarked on its first European tour, performing in cities such as Berlin, Brussels, and Vienna. Their 2024 album "Ship of Fools," featuring works by Estonian composer Jüri Reinvere, won the "Classical Album of the Year" at the 2025 Estonian Music Awards. The orchestra specializes in classical music and regularly premieres works by Estonian composers.
