Falkenbach is a German Viking metal project founded in 1989 by Markus Tümmers, known by his stage name Vratyas Vakyas. Initially starting with the demo "Hávamál" in 1989, his music evolved from raw black metal to epic Viking metal incorporating folk elements. Notable albums include "...En their medh ríki fara..." (1996), "...Magni blandinn ok megintiri..." (1998), and "Ok nefna tysvar Ty" (2003). Lyrics often draw from Germanic mythology and are written in English, Old Norse, and Latin.
