The Feininger Trio is a piano trio founded in 2005 in Berlin, comprising Adrian Oetiker (piano), Christoph Streuli (violin), and David Riniker (cello). The ensemble is named after painter and Bauhaus co-founder Lyonel Feininger, whose Berlin studio was near their rehearsal space in the Zehlendorf district. The trio focuses on interpreting classical and romantic repertoire, with particular emphasis on works by Johannes Brahms and Antonín Dvořák. They also explore pieces from the classical modernism era, including compositions by Charles Ives, Alexander Zemlinsky, and Erich Wolfgang Korngold. Their discography includes recordings of piano trios by Debussy and Ravel (2017) and Brahms and Krenek (2023). The products available from the artist Feininger Trio include CDs.
