Félicia Atkinson is a French experimental musician and visual artist residing in the Alps. Her music is primarily improvised, encompassing fragmented electro-acoustic folk and lengthy drones, often incorporating whispered vocals or poetry, as well as field recordings and distortion. Atkinson was born in Paris in 1981. She graduated with honors from l'École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris and was part of the contemporary dance project BOCAL. She began performing in 2004 and released music as one-half of the duo Stretchandrelax in 2007. Her first solo album, the abstract folk CD 'La La La', was released in 2008. In 2012, she co-founded Shelter Press with Bartolomé Sanson, a label and publishing company that releases music, books, and zines. Her album 'Space As an Instrument' was released in 2024.
