Fire! is a Swedish trio consisting of saxophonist Mats Gustafsson, bassist Johan Berthling, and drummer Andreas Werliin. Formed in 2009, the group aims to develop a fresh approach to improvised music, drawing influences from free jazz, psychedelic rock, and electronics. Their debut album, "You Liked Me Five Minutes Ago," was released in 2009. Other notable albums include "In the Mouth - A Hand" (2012) and "The Hands" (2018). The group is known for collaborations with artists like Jim O'Rourke and Oren Ambarchi. Fire! also serves as the core for the larger ensemble Fire! Orchestra.
