Flowered Up was an English indie pop-alternative dance band formed in 1989 in Camden Town, London. The band was known for their 13-minute single "Weekender," which reached the UK top 20. In 1991, they released their only album, "A Life With Brian." After disbanding in 1994, some members pursued other projects; for instance, keyboardist Tim Dorney formed the band Republica. The band was part of the "baggy" movement, and their music combined elements of indie rock and alternative dance.
