Forbidden is an American thrash metal band formed in 1985 in San Francisco. Their debut album, "Forbidden Evil," released in 1988, is considered a genre classic. Subsequent albums include "Twisted into Form" (1990), "Distortion" (1994), and "Green" (1997). The band is known for their technically demanding compositions and energetic live performances. After several hiatuses and lineup changes, Forbidden reunited in 2008 and released "Omega Wave" in 2010.
