Fred Neil was an American folk singer and songwriter active in the 1960s and 1970s. His 1965 debut solo album, "Bleecker & MacDougal," influenced the folk rock movement. His song "Everybody's Talkin'" became a hit for Harry Nilsson and was featured in the 1969 film "Midnight Cowboy." Neil was known for his deep baritone voice and 12-string guitar. He collaborated with artists like Vince Martin and John Sebastian. Later, he withdrew from the music scene to focus on dolphin conservation.
