Frankie Goes to Hollywood was an English pop band formed in Liverpool in 1980. The original lineup consisted of Holly Johnson (vocals), Paul Rutherford (backing vocals), Mark O'Toole (bass guitar), Brian Nash (guitar), and Peter Gill (drums). In 1983, they signed with ZTT Records, and their 1984 debut album, "Welcome to the Pleasuredome," featured three singles that reached number one on the UK charts: "Relax," "Two Tribes," and "The Power of Love." In 1985, they won the Brit Award for Best British Newcomer. The band disbanded in 1987 but reunited in 2023 for a performance during Eurovision in Liverpool.
