Frederick Grinke was a Canadian violinist renowned for his interpretations of 20th-century English music. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London and served as concertmaster of the Boyd Neel Orchestra. Vaughan Williams dedicated his Sonata in A Minor to Grinke, who recorded it along with other works such as "The Lark Ascending" and "Concerto Accademico".
