Galaxie 500 was an American indie rock band formed in 1987 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The members were Dean Wareham (guitar, vocals), Damon Krukowski (drums), and Naomi Yang (bass guitar, vocals). The band released three studio albums: "Today" (1988), "On Fire" (1989), and "This Is Our Music" (1990). Their music was characterized by simple instrumental techniques and atmospheric production, drawing inspiration from The Velvet Underground and Jonathan Richman. After disbanding in 1991, Wareham pursued the project Luna, while Krukowski and Yang continued as Damon & Naomi. The products available from the artist Galaxie 500 include vinyls, CDs.
