Gang of Four is an English post-punk band formed in 1976 in Leeds. The original lineup consisted of vocalist Jon King, guitarist Andy Gill, bassist Dave Allen, and drummer Hugo Burnham. Their debut album, "Entertainment!" (1979), is considered one of the most influential post-punk albums. The band is known for its unique blend of punk, funk, and dub, with lyrics often critiquing social and political issues. Throughout their career, they underwent several personnel changes and released several more albums, including "Solid Gold" (1981) and "Songs of the Free" (1982).
