Genya Ravan, born Genyusha Zelkowitz in 1940 in Łódź, Poland, is an American rock singer and music producer. After emigrating to the United States in 1947, she became the lead singer of The Escorts, Goldie and the Gingerbreads, and Ten Wheel Drive. In 1979, she released the album "...And I Mean It!", featuring tracks like "Pedal to the Metal" and "Junkman" with guest artist Ian Hunter.
