Gerard Bouwhuis is a Dutch pianist known for his work in contemporary music. He studied at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague under Geoffrey Douglas Madge. Bouwhuis is a member of the Xenakis Ensemble and has collaborated with several Dutch composers, including Louis Andriessen, Cornelis de Bondt, and Martijn Padding, who have written works for him. He has performed at various music festivals worldwide, such as the Almeida Festival, Huddersfield Festival, Holland Festival, and Bang On A Can in New York. For his contributions to Dutch music, Bouwhuis was awarded the Theo Bruins Prize.
