Gerard von Brucken Fock (1859–1935) was a Dutch composer, pianist, and painter. His piano compositions, such as "Préludes" and "Moments musicaux," garnered recognition, with Edvard Grieg referring to him as the "Dutch Chopin." He also composed orchestral works, including "Impressions du Midi" and "Bretonse suite," as well as the oratorio "De wederkomst van Christus" and a "Requiem." Despite his talent, his contributions to music are often overlooked.
