Géza Anda was a Hungarian pianist renowned for his interpretations of works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Schumann. Born in Budapest, he studied at the Liszt Academy of Music. In 1941, he emigrated to Switzerland, where he continued his career. His recordings of Mozart's piano concertos with the Berlin Philharmonic, conducted by himself, are considered reference performances. Anda was also known for his interpretations of Bartók and Brahms. He passed away in Zurich in 1976.
