Gillan was an English rock band formed in 1978 by former Deep Purple vocalist Ian Gillan. The band was active until 1982, during which time they released five studio albums, including 'Mr. Universe' (1979), 'Glory Road' (1980), and 'Future Shock' (1981). Their music combined hard rock and heavy metal, becoming a significant part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. Members included Ian Gillan (vocals), John McCoy (bass guitar), Colin Towns (keyboards), Bernie Tormé (guitar), and Mick Underwood (drums). The band disbanded in 1982 when Ian Gillan joined Black Sabbath and later returned to Deep Purple. The products available from the artist Gillan include vinyls, CDs.
