The Go-Go's are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1978. The original lineup consisted of Belinda Carlisle (vocals), Jane Wiedlin (guitar, vocals), Charlotte Caffey (lead guitar, keyboards), Margot Olavarria (bass guitar), and Elissa Bello (drums). Later additions included Gina Schock (drums) and Kathy Valentine (bass guitar). Their 1981 debut album, "Beauty and the Beat," reached number one on the Billboard 200 chart and featured hits like "Our Lips Are Sealed" and "We Got the Beat."
