Godflesh is an English industrial metal band from Birmingham, formed in 1988 by Justin Broadrick and B. C. Green. Their 1989 debut album, "Streetcleaner," is considered a cornerstone of industrial metal. In 1996, they released "Songs of Love and Hate," featuring live drums for the first time, expanding their sound with hip-hop influences. After disbanding in 2002, the group reunited in 2009 and continued producing new albums, including "A World Lit Only by Fire" (2014) and "Purge" (2023).
